Fastjet resume regional flights whilst increasing domestic flights to Victoria Falls
Fastjet have, as of this afternoon, announced their plans to resume the Johannesburg to Victoria Falls flight schedule. As of the 16th March 2021, the airline will resume their Johannesburg to Victoria Falls flight schedule every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. In addition, they have now added an extra Friday service to match up with the Rovos Rail itineraries for Victoria Falls.
Fastjet will also be increasing their frequency of flights on the Harare-Victoria Falls route to four times a week for the remainder of March, and as of 1st April they will increase the frequency to daily flights between the country's capital city and the tourism hub.
The news has been welcomed by tourism stakeholders eager to see a return of travellers to the destination as COVID positive case numbers in the country continue to decrease and the role out of vaccinations are underway.
