Wellness Experiences on the Rise
Wellness travel has become increasingly popular as people seek to take a break from everyday life and focus on their physical, mental, and emotional well-being. At its core, wellness travel is about taking a trip with the intention of improving your health and well-being, whether that be through exercise, meditation, restorative treatments or outdoor activities.
Victoria Falls, a symbol of ever-flowing renewal, lies deep at the heart of one of the world's largest conservation areas. Our unique energy, biodiversity and climate has inspired the creation of new wellness experiences.
Yoga Classes and Retreats
We have a number of specialised Yoga instructors in Victoria Falls. They practice in the studio as well as in unique, private natural settings. One practice, Victoria Falls Yoga, offers tailor made programs for travellers. Owner Kerrith O'Fee offers wellness retreats, yoga classes and personalised wellness guiding, all of which focus on slowing down to the pace of nature, observing and embracing the tranquil settings to provide restorative connections to self and the surrounding environments.
Spa Facilities and Treatments
Spa facilities have grown substantially, with many hotels and lodges offering on-site facilities and using natural plant-based or locally made products.
Victoria Falls Safari Spa, the largest purpose built spa in our destination, is nestled in a peaceful indigenous woodland, rich in birdlife, and with the occasional warthog or bushbuck passing by. Reminiscent of an African safari tented camp filled with ethnic fabrics and artefacts, spa guests feel immersed in the bush whilst enjoying relaxing treatments. Half and full day packages are also available.
Mvula Spa offers high-end, boutique treatments for guests, and uses industry-lead products along with the owners cruelty-free, vegan, organic skincare range, AM Cosmetics. Small and intimate, Mvula Spa brings personal touches and individual care to every guest.
Creative Connections
Throughout the ages, many cultures have used creativity and the arts to assist healing and to increase feelings of well-being. Art has an incredible way of connecting us to the world and allowing us to express ourselves through that connection. Art of Africa assists travellers to tap into their creative energy and immerse themselves in nature, armed with brushes and paints.
With a diverse array of experiences on offer, including unique and interactive paintings sessions with elephants, observing the tranquility of the Zambezi river on a tailored art cruise, or embracing the roar of the powerful waters of Victoria Falls, Art of Africa allows travellers to step away from everyday life and bring them to a place of inspiration.
