Mack Air has set the pace for a progressive recovery of the travel and tourism sector in both Zimbabwe and Botswana as they completed their maiden Zambezi Link flight on 1st May 2021 between Kasane and Victoria Falls.
On arrival at Victoria Falls Airport on 1st May 2021, the Mack Air aircraft was given the water Canon salute to welcome the operator to Victoria Falls. In addition, Senior Management from the Civil Aviation Authority of Zimbabwe and NHS were on site to meet the inaugural flight.
According to Mike Weyl of Mack Air, the first 20-minute flight went perfectly with both ease of travel and seamless transit, thanks to the aviation authorities on the ground in both Botswana and Zimbabwe. The flights will take place daily to allow for cross border travel between the two countries.
