Zimbabwe reopens for Intra-District Domestic Travel with specific Guidelines for the Tourism Sector

An updated Statutory Instrument was released yesterday, 3rd July 2020, confirming the reopening of Zimbabwe's National Parks, the reopening of restaurants, and the reopening of Hotels and Accommodation facilities who comply with the approved guidelines for designated Tourism Facilities.

The revised SI allows for intra-district travel within the country which is hoped to assist in re-igniting the start of Domestic Leisure Travel, and this will be expanded upon at a later stage for inter-provincial travel, once it is deemed safe to do so.  This is a progressive step forward, one which the tourism sector believes will assist to save livelihoods within the sector.
