Three boreholes drilled in Phakama, Sizinda and Chidobe
Jafuta Foundation with the support of donors, were able to bring much needed hope and support to the communities in Phakama, Sizinda and Chidobe by way of three new boreholes to supply the communities with much needed water. As a vital source of water supply, these boreholes will go a long way in allowing the community to address some of the challenges they have faced with little, to no water in these areas.
Given the COVID-19 pandemic and the requirement for regular sanitisation and good hygiene practice, the establishment of these boreholes will allow for clean water for the community, but also will assist in the community being able to ensure water for their livestock, and develop alternative projects such as community vegetable gardens for food security.
