According to Zimbabwe’s tourist visa policy, visitors from most countries must have a visa to enter for leisure. Short-term Zimbabwean visas for the purpose of tourism can be obtained in three different ways depending on the nationality of the traveller and allows a maximum stay of 90 days in the country from the date of entry:

Category A: Those who DO NOT need a visa
Category B: Those who DO need a visa which can be obtained on arrival at the point on entry into Zimbabwe
Category C: Those who DO need a visa which can be obtained online prior to travel HERE.
Category D: Those who DO need a visa which must be obtained at an overseas diplomatic mission prior to travel.

For travellers falling into Category B, visas purchased at the point of entry need to be paid for in cash, preferably small denominations and in the exact amount required as acquiring foreign currency change can be problematic and will likely lead to delays.

It is recommended that travellers arriving at Victoria Falls Airport, Harare Airport, Kazungula Road Border or Victoria Falls Road Border request to purchase a KAZA Uni-Visa which allows for easy travel between Zambia and Zimbabwe. This visa permits visitors to stay for a maximum of 30 days in either or both Zambia and Zimbabwe and also includes day trips to Chobe National Park in Botswana. It is planned to be a “universal visa”, with more countries expected to join the scheme. When the KAZA Visa enters the second phase, it will also grant entry to Angola, Botswana, and Namibia, with other southern African countries joining in the third phase.
