Pristine Victoria Falls
The Pristine Victoria Falls Society (PVFS) is a community-based movement set up in October 2021 to make Victoria Falls the cleanest, greenest City in Africa. Members sign a Pledge to keep their area clear of rubbish at all times by providing supplies, staff or transport, lend their voices to lobbying civic entities, donors and researchers into assisting the Society’s goals, and encourage others to join up. Besides a litter-free city, the Society wishes to work with other stakeholders to upgrade the rubbish collection infrastructure, introduce and enforce laws targeting littering, upgrade and manage dumping sites, promote and develop recycling practices, and reduce reliance on single-use plastics in the community.
