Shearwater Victoria Falls have played a vital role in the Victoria Falls COVID-19 taskforce and throughout the lockdown period. Recently Shearwater stepped in to assist the taskforce with transport required for returnees from Kazangula Border Post going into quarantine facilities in Victoria Falls. This assistance has freed up vehicles used by the Ministry of Health and rapid response teams to continue uninterrupted with their incredibly important work in and around Victoria Falls town.
In addition to supplying transport, Shearwater have also made their kitchens and warehouse available for cooking and storage for the Food Security teams. They have provided accommodation for the oxygen technician and other medical personnel who have travelled to Victoria Falls to assist with the preparation of the isolation and high care facilities.
Shearwater have also donated temperature guns, over 2,000 soaps for distribution to communities, and linen for the isolation centres. Their support has been a true reflection of their commitment to Victoria Falls and the wider community and we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Shearwater team for their ongoing support.
