As part of the ongoing efforts of the Dignity Pads Project working with the Victoria Falls COVID-19 taskforce, volunteers have continued to make reusable sanitary pads for women returnees placed into quarantine facilities, and for other members of the community who may be in need.
With resources and material supplied by the Jafuta Foundation, each pack is made up of 6 washable pads packed together in a ziplock bag. The Dignity Pads Project has gained momentum as more and more volunteers from the community have signed up to assist. The community spirit and willingness to help others continues to be exemplary and is deep-rooted in all those who live in and around Victoria Falls.
